3D Laser Scanning
Quick, safe and highly accurate measurement capture using FARO Focus scanner technology. Millions of points collected to create detailed point clouds for any building or structure.

What is 3D Laser Scanning?
3D laser scanning is a technology that uses laser beams to capture precise three-dimensional information about physical objects or spaces. In building surveying, it allows surveyors to collect highly accurate measurements of buildings' interiors and exteriors quickly and efficiently.
A laser scanner emits millions of laser pulses per second, measuring the time it takes for each pulse to return to calculate distance. This generates a point cloud - a dense collection of points representing the surfaces of the building.
Get in TouchScanning the Building
We set up the laser scanner on a tripod and conduct multiple scans from different positions to capture the entire building. Reference markers are used to align scans accurately during the registration process.
Our FARO Focus scanner captures millions of points per second with millimeter accuracy, ensuring complete coverage of all architectural details and structural elements.

Data Registration & Processing
Individual scans are combined into a single unified 3D point cloud. Noise and irrelevant points are removed, and the data can be converted into mesh models or BIM models as required.
From this processed data, we extract accurate dimensions for walls, windows, doors, and structural elements. We create 2D plans, elevations, and sections directly from the 3D data.
